The meeting went at the Registry of Motor Vehicles. Special thanks
to Paul Harkins for hosting! The “Changing of the Guard” took
place and Ofc Paul Corcoran handed over the Presidency of the MSOL
to Ofc Christopher Harrington. Chris took a few minutes to thank
Paul for his commitment to the League. Over the last year, Paul
has spread the word about the MSOL in more directions than anyone
could have thought! Numerous agencies were brought into the League
by Paul’s “persistent” interactions! If you have checked out the
website or attended a recent meeting, then you have seen the
amount of time and effort has put into providing tools for the
members to educate their communities. On behalf of the Executive
Board and all of the Members, we thank you again Paul for a
successful year!
A message to everyone from Paul -
To all
you guys,
Thanks
for your guidance and help over the last year! I'm happy to have made
friends with you all and look forward to adding more to the MSOL Site as
well as members to the organization. This League is a great group. Let's
keep it going strong! Thanks again, Paul C.
Now that
Paul has moved into the “Past President’s Club,” he will be taking May
off for a cruise…
The presentation to Officer Martignetti went well. He's got a beautiful
family who should be very proud of his actions. Officers go out on the
streets, whether on-duty or off-duty, and act so many times without
thinking twice. What an honor it is to recognize a brother-officer in
front of his family and colleagues!
We have a lot going on in the next few months –
upcoming trainings, upcoming events….please take a moment to check out
the website for all of the information. Information will be posted on
the website every month. If you have an upcoming event, please submit it
to one of the Board Members for Review as soon as the information is
available. Once the Board approves it, it will be disseminated to the
Members and posted on the site.
Also,
mark you calendars for the June Citizen Safety Award! Details will be
available in May!! As of today, it is tentatively scheduled for
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 9th in DANVERS. Uniform of the day will be long-sleeves
with ties and hats!
